About Willow Interior Design
Willow Interior Design was founded by Maureen Russell, an interior designer with more than 20 years of experience creating refined, deeply considered interiors for care and retirement living that support wellbeing, dignity and everyday ease.
After two decades working closely with care providers, operators and development teams, Maureen launched Willow Interior Design to bring a more personal, thoughtful and quietly elevated approach to environments where people deserve to feel truly at home. Her work balances warmth and comfort with clarity and care, shaping spaces that feel intuitive to live in, reassuring to navigate and responsive to the practical rhythms of daily life.
Her work blends empathy, insight and a deep understanding of how design influences wellbeing. As a dementia design specialist, Maureen brings evidence-informed, inclusive principles to every project, considering movement, sensory comfort, acoustics, natural light, colour contrast and intuitive layouts to create environments that feel calm, legible and dignified.
