About Willow Interior Design
Willow Interior Design was founded by Maureen Russell, an interior designer with more than 20 years of experience creating warm, functional and beautifully considered spaces for care and retirement living.
After two decades working closely with care providers, operators and development teams, Maureen launched Willow Interior Design to bring a more personal, thoughtful and quietly elegant approach to environments where people deserve to feel truly at home.
Her work blends empathy, insight and a deep understanding of how design influences wellbeing. As a dementia design specialist, Maureen brings evidence-informed principles to every project, grounded in modern healthcare design — from acoustic and sensory comfort to maximising natural light, with emphasis on colour contrast, wayfinding, and the subtle cues that help residents navigate their surroundings with confidence.
